garden flowers

flower power

I found these old cigarette cards in a charity shop last week,I nearly didn't buy them, but I'm glad I did as each one is different. There are about fifty of them, all with garden flowers on. I think they will be perfect for my handmade cards, but for now I have strung them up on a little washing line in my sewing room.

Have a great weekend x

  6. I love cigarette cards. I have a framed set similar to yours, although not as comprehensive, in my hallway. I am glad you didn't pass these by.

  7. oh they are lovely, I have a whole box of these and the ones from Tetley tea. My dads family drank a lot of tea and smoked a lot of cigarettes it seems! It's a nice idea to use them for something, I will have a think about that, Heather x

  9. They are really lovely a bit of colour in these dull march days, I look forward to seeing what you eventually create with them. I do love a charity shop find, I was lucky enough to find embroidery silks and spools of thread for ten pence each last week, gorgeous colours too.

  15. Great find they are beautiful. I've just come across some cigarette silks. Beautiful miniature embroideries still in their original covers. I also came across some that I added to the pocket of an apron I've just made.
