new starts

Happy New Year! Here's to new experiences in a happy, healthy 2015

It's a time for new starts, I don't like to have resolutions as such, just a few general goals for the year ahead...

I love getting out into the countryside, it makes me so happy, so I plan to make more time for countryside adventures, walks, picnics etc

I've been practising ten minutes of meditation a day for over a month now and I'm really enjoying it.
So one goal is to carry on with this. I'm using the Headspace app which is so easy to use, I started with the 'take ten' day trial....great for calming the mind, and as I'm a bit of a worrier this is perfect for me.

I have a pretty healthy diet, but like most people this time of year, I'm trying to cut down on sugary/processed foods..I'm a big snacker, so being organised with healthy food is really important or I will just eat the nearest biscuit/cake/chocolate bar.

I've started making my own granola bars, bliss balls, banana bread, hummus and pesto, they're all so delicious you don't feel deprived at all. It's real whole foods all the way for me. It's amazing how your taste buds change. * I can't promise that I will never eat a chocolate bar again.

I would like to start on a new range of work but I'm not quite sure what yet so it's definitely a work in progress. I need to get inspired again and the first step is to sort through my sewing/making room, having a rearrange always helps with creativity.

Do you have any goals for the year ahead?

  1. Happy New Year to you and yours. My goals sound exactly the same as yours. I try not to make resolutions either but definitely need to address the amount of snacks I eat. They are gorgeous photographs you have taken.
